Discovering one of the most evocative castles of Langa at sunset and the most noble of wines. At the Serralunga manor, the appointment with Prosit !, a visit with toast dedicated to the Barolo, the castles and the crus.

Evenings of tales and tastings, to accompany the public throughout the summer in a series of tours of the manor punctuated by its history through the centuries and curious anecdotes about the world of local wine and the one produced at the time of the Falletti lords, in the fifteenth century, up to the rural use of the castle as a cellar in the nineteenth century, with Giulia di Barolo. 

The farms involved in Prosit! 2018 are the Bioca of Monforte d'Alba (Friday 15 June), Azelia of Castiglione Falletto (Friday 20 July), Rivetto di Sinio (Friday 17 August) and Bruna Grimaldi of Grinzane Cavour (Friday 21 September). Four dynamic wine-growing realities of the territory, bound by precious vineyards located within the boundaries of the municipality of Serralunga, which has boasted for centuries a wine tradition of excellence, which will naturally be told during the visits of Prosit! The Barolo. The castles. The crus. The visit ends at the highest level of the castle, with the tasting immersed in a setting of rare beauty, overlooking the Barolo production area and the mountains of the Alps, in front of which the guide and the producers will play the role of "readers of the landscape". 

The visit is scheduled at 7.00 pm in English and at 8.00 pm in Italian. 

THE VISIT
The visit starts from the garden, and then continues up to the top floor bailey walk, initially sheltered by battlements, still visible, then covered by a roof. At the end, with the sun still high on the horizon, it will be possible to get a 360° view over the whole lower Langa territory, to identify the Barolo production areas and to admire the landscape marked by regular and orderly vineyards.

It will be up to the guide to spin anecdotes and curiosities about the history of the castle and its close relationship with the local agricultural activities, from the Middle Ages to Luigi Einaudi, a great wine lover who commited himself to have the manor purchased by the State, to which it still belongs, entrusted to the Piedmont Museum Complex.
